miners A memory of Huntworth, Somerset seems likea "million" years ago, but I was ( 6 yrs ) old and remember at holiday fridays,standing with a few other kids outside the pit-baths at the devon pit, asking miners if we could take their bags "pit clothes" home for them, and get a tip... thrupenny bit, was a lot back then.
